I dont fly the other races ships but here's my wishlist for the legion:
- Lazer sub should get 25 mb dronebay. As it is its just a zealot with 4 mids and more tank. All the other T3's have at least one subsystem that isnt entirely dronebased and has 25mb dronebay.
- Drone sub should have either bigger bandwidth or bigger drone damage bonus. It is not normal that a drone legion can be out-dps-ed by an arbitrator or any other amarr droneboat. Maybe ditch the amarr lazer cap use bonus for a second drone damage bonus, at the same time reducing the drone hitpoint to 5% (from 7,5%). Or replace the drone hitpoint altogether with a second dorne damage bonus , since the sub enables so many spare drones. I guess this suggestion also goes for the proteus drone subsystem, although it does get a bigger bandwidth and gun damage bonus.
- Cov sub should get a damage bonus, a full gank cov legion is out-dps-ed by a t2 tank fit maller . Again , not normal. Someone also said the only cov T3 capable of achieving 500dps is the proteus. I think 500 dps should be the base for all cov T3's.
- Missile sub should also get bonus to HMLs, as per the recent rebalancing of the vengeance/heretic/sacrilege/damnation. Range bonus is absolutely not neccessary.
- When it comes to the defencive abilities of the legion , i am fairly content with what it has. Maybe a slight ehp nerf is reasonable (~10%).
When it comes to the different ideas i've read in this thread:
- No rigs is interesting, and would enable refitting on the fly or according to situation. Although would require proper compensation (better natural ehp on subs, or more dmg, or fitting ect).
- Reducing the ehp overall is also reasonable , although as someone said in this thread , T3's arent supposed to be compared to HACs (except in dps), they are closer to command ships and in that regard , only the proteus is out of whack when it comes to ehp (same as the damnation come to think of it, although the damnation has less offensive capabilities than the proteus).
- Boosting the range on logi sub to 40% range of a t2 logi is definetly too strong a buff, maybe max 15-20k range or whatever range the nestor has. But 6k range is definetly too short.
In any case, im still curious how they are gonna rebalance the recons before they start with T3's
